CHICAGO, March 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Drones are proving to be extremely useful on the construction site, but they don't come without new and unique risks according to CNA.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has estimated that 7,500 small commercial drones will be in use by 2018.  "A percentage of those drones will be utilized on construction sites – from pre-construction planning to daily management of the work site, but pilot error, misdirected landings, GPS failure and interference with overhead transmission lines pose significant risks from drone use," said Mike Ahern, Assistant Vice President, Underwriting for Construction, CNA.
