CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
For more than two decades, CNA has served as the only business insurance
carrier endorsed by the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, Int’l.®
(FMA). This year, the global business insurer proudly announces that it
will serve as a corporate sponsor of the 2011 FABTECH Expo, November
14-17, at McCormick Place in Chicago. The event will bring together
hundreds of leaders from the manufacturing and metal fabrication
industry.
“Through our affiliation with FMA, we’ve learned a lot about metal
fabricators, what drives them, and the characteristics they seek in an
insurance carrier,” said Janis Allen, National Program Director –
Manufacturing segment, CNA. “Using that knowledge, we’ve designed an
insurance program that responds to the unique needs of metal
fabricators, demonstrating our commitment and expertise in this
industry.”
At this year’s FABTECH Expo, CNA will:
-
host in-booth demonstrations on Infrared (IR) Thermography to assist
attendees in pinpointing areas of their shops – as well as machinery –
which are ripe for electrical accidents. These live IR demos will
enable participants to witness how high-tech imaging can locate
electrical hot spots not visible to the naked eye; and how this
process is an essential part of keeping workers safe and plants
running efficiently.
-
present a safety session, Establishing a World-Class Safety Culture,
on November 17 at 10:30 a.m.Brian Roberts, National Risk Control
director for CNA, and Kelly Langdon, Production Control and Safety
manager for Buhler Aeroglide Corporation, will discuss how a focus on
employees can help improve safety processes and reduce injury rates;
and how a dedicated return-to-work program with an integrated cost
containment process can impact a company’s bottom line.
-
illuminate the Chicago skyline, on November 14, by lighting its Home
Office windows in support of the event.
