Shannon Niezelski has been appointed vice president of Equipment
Breakdown for CNA, effective November 14, 2011. In this role, Niezelski
will be responsible for the strategic direction and profitable growth of
the global business insurer’s Equipment Breakdown unit which represents
significant cross-sell opportunities, particularly within its Property,
Monoline and Assumed Reinsurance lines.
Niezelski joins CNA with extensive underwriting portfolio and
reinsurance experience, most recently serving as senior vice president,
Treaty Underwriting, for The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and
Insurance Company. During her 20-year career there, she held roles of
increasing responsibility including, since 1995, the development and
profitable growth of its Reinsurance Assumed Equipment Breakdown
portfolio.
