Global business insurer joins ICBA in celebrating local banks
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
During the month of April, CNA will join the Independent Community
Bankers of America (ICBA) in celebration of National Community Banking
Month and the vital role local banks play in the lives of their
customers and communities. The month-long celebration will include:
ICBA’s “I Love My Community Bank” campaign; special events in local
banks and communities; a free, one-hour CNA webinar on emerging risks;
and a $5,000 donation from the CNA Foundation to the Arbor
Day Foundation’s Joplin, MO Recovery Fund which, for every dollar
donated, will deliver a tree to this tornado-affected community.
“Like community banks, CNA remains committed to local neighborhoods
where we live and work,” said Mark Tomlinson, assistant vice president –
Community Banks Underwriting, CNA. “CNA’s donation to the recovery
efforts in Joplin is just one way we are expressing appreciation to our
community bank customers while recognizing the important roles they play
within their respective communities.”
CNA will culminate National Community Banking Month by sponsoring a free
one-hour webinar, “Emerging Risks for Community Banks,” on
Thursday, April 26 at 3 p.m. ET. The webinar will highlight some of the
prominent challenges and risks faced by senior management and the board
of directors at these institutions. To register for this webinar, please
