Award recognizes CNA for use of ACORD XML standards to increase
productivity, profitability of independent agencies
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
The Small Business segment of CNA insurance companies recently received
national recognition from research and consulting firm, Celent. In a new
report, Celent Model Insurer 2012: Case Studies of Effective
Technology Use in Insurance, CNA is named a 2012 Model Insurer
because of its full integration of ACORD XML standards and an enhanced
Real Time Quoting (RTQ) portal.
“We are very pleased with the recognition we’ve received from Celent in
the area of agent portals, and most importantly for the work we’ve done
to collaborate with agents and listen to their evolving needs for more
sophisticated automation solutions,” said Belen Tokarski, assistant vice
president of Small Business Technology and Agency Solutions, CNA.
To meet agents’ expectations for automation solutions that work with
their preferred workflow and systems, CNA Small Business set out to
improve its RTQ solution to improve the productivity and profitability
of its distributors across the U.S. CNA Small Business collaborated with
SeaPass Solutions to leverage ACORD XML technology and build a solution
that enables agents to create ACORD XML quote and issuance requests that
integrate with CNA’s systems regardless of pre-existing agency
technology or workflows.
This latest RTQ solution enables Small Business agents and brokers to
obtain bindable quotes and proposal letters for CNA Connect®,
Workers’ Compensation, and Commercial Automobile, without leaving their
agency management systems. Part of the global business insurer’s full
suite of agency automation solutions for Small Business, this
streamlined quoting process allows Small Business agents to remarket
their renewals in less time, eliminate the need to re-key customer data,
and reduce transaction costs.
Additionally, Small Business agents and brokers can use these automation
solutions to download current policy data and perform real time policy,
billing, and claim inquiries all within their agency management systems.
